Create a well stocked, organized space to work
A space you use just for studying will get you in the right mindset every time you are at your workspace. Avoid your bed as a study spot as this will confuse your sleep as well as your studying.
Workspace and Seating
You should be comfortable but not so comfortable that you fall asleep. Experiment with standing, sitting on a chair or a stability ball.. There are a number of desks available that can move up and down for flexible work stations There are also options to place on your desk that make your desk a standing desk. Laptop Stand When using a computer, the top of the computer should be at eye level.
Be sure to have all supplies at the desk. If you need to go find a ruler, you’ll waste precious study time. Stock up on the following:
-Looseleaf, plain and graph paper
-Post-It Notes and flags
-Markers and pencil crayons
Also consider having a dictionary, thesaurus, atlas, calculator and clock on hand. This will alleviate the need to have technology with you, which can be a distraction.
